Carstensen Photo

Charles Carstensen

Colorado documentary photography is my passion. I shoot pictures of anything that is interesting. Panoramic photography is a work I love to do.  I have fun making large archival panoramic prints mounted framed or frameless on 1/2 inch foamcore with wire hangers.
I am a problem solver. Available for assignment.

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Located 12 miles East of Montrose, Colorado USA. The above pictue is a panorama of the East Portal at the bottom of the canyon, East Portal was a town created in 1905 for the construction workers and families who made the Gunnison Tunnel which brought water to the Uncompaghre Valley.
The dam is for the inlet to the tunnel, at right, and is constructed from plywood. It is rebuilt when necessary.
